Morning Routine To Start Your Day Off Right

A solid morning routine will be the catalyst for a successful day. It’s not just about checking things off a to-do list or patting yourself on the back, it’s about creating positive habits and flow for your life. This will help make it easier to prioritize your mental, physical, and spiritual health throughout the rest of the day, and achieve your goals. Everyone is different and so no two-morning routines will be the same, it’s important to test things out to find the right rhythm for you. Remember this isn’t just another thing to add to your life, something that you just have to do that feels like a burden. A morning routine should feel like a big deep breath, like it brings you life, and energizes you. In this post, we are going to give you some tips, ideas, and suggestions so that you can create a customized routine that works best for you.

Morning Routine Ideas:

#1 Get Enough Sleep

Setting yourself up for success is key and not getting enough sleep is a recipe for self-sabotage. Getting to bed at a decent time, putting screens away at least 30 mins before you go to sleep, and cultivating good sleep habits will you help you not reach for that snooze button when your alarm clock goes off.

#2 Get Right Out Of Bed

It can be so tempting to hit snooze, roll over, or grab your phone to scroll when your alarm goes off. We have found that if you get up and out of bed instantly you get a boost that propels you into your routine. Getting dressed and making your bed are also helpful habits.

#3 Write Out Your Top 4

When you wake up take some time to write out your top four priorities for the day. These are the things that will have the most impact on your life and get you closer to your goals. Often times we can write too many things on our to-do list and then waste time getting none of it done. When you simplify your life and shift your focus on the MUST do’s you end up accomplishing more in less time.

#4 Drink Water

One of the best ways to flush out toxins, wake up your body, and boost your energy is by drinking water. One of the main indicators of fatigue and tiredness is dehydration. Drinking two or three glasses of water right when you wake up is a good way to rehydrate your body quickly.

#5 Take Time For Gratitude

Let’s face it life can be hard and it can be easy to focus on the mundane of life. Gratitude allows us to see the beauty in life, find the sweet spots, and change our perspective. When we take time for gratitude each day we start our morning looking at all the good and that will cause our minds to focus on the positive and search for it as the day goes on.

#6 Move Your body

Get the blood flowing and the endorphins pumping. It doesn’t have to be a big workout and is really dependent on your goals, the season of life, and how much time you have. Even just a few stretches, breathwork, or walk around the block can clear your mind, energize your body, and get you ready for the day ahead.

#7 Journal Or Read

Spending some time in the morning connecting to your thoughts and reading a good book can help you feel more grounded. It will also help you stick to your goals, recognize personal behaviors, thoughts, and it will help you grow.

That wraps up our six morning routine tips, I hope this post adds value to you.
